Southampton Amateur Rowing club is a coastal rowing club affiliated to the Hampshire & Dorset Amateur Rowing Association. We compete in river races and coastal regattas held along the South Coast from Swanage to Portsmouth including the Isle of Wight.

We are the only rowing club that is based on the east bank of the River Itchen, Southampton, and we cater for all levels of rowing from ‘beginner and social’ to ‘novice and senior race competitors’.

Rowing is a great way to get fit, and it’s not just about rowing a boat! Even the younger generation or those not wishing to row can still be involved by becoming a coxswain (one of the most important jobs in the boat) or by joining our Social Committee.
